KMYatra 2015: Fee & Expenditure(Total Cost) of Kailash Manasarovar Yatra

Kailash Manasarovar Yatra holds Religious value for Hindus, Jains and Buddhists. The Ministry of External Affairs(MEA), Government of India organizes officially the KMYatra for Indians in every year. This year 2015, MEA is doing arrangements for smooth conducting of the holy Yatra via two routes.

1. Lipulekh Pass(via Uttarakhand) 
2. Nathula(via Sikkim). It is a new and 2nd route launched by Govt. of India in this year 2015 to undertake the Manasarovar Yatra.

The schedule of KMYatra2015 is announced by MEA. The cost of the KMY-2015 which includes Fees to KMVN, Expenditure and other charges as follows...

Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam Limited(KMVN) provides logistical support to Yatris in India.

Fees and Estimated Expenditure per Yatri via Lipulekh Pass (Uttarakhand):

5	Payable to Chinese authorities in Tibet for lodging, meals at Taklakot, transportation (including charges for transporting baggage and hiring of horse/pony at Lipulekh Pass) and entry tickets for Kailash, Manasarovar and Kejia Temple. 6	Hiring of Porter for both ways on India side (subject to revision by Uttarakhand Government).	Rs.8,904
7	Hiring of Pony and Pony Handler for both ways on Indian side (subject to revision by Uttarakhand Government). For the stretch from Narayan Ashram to Lipulekh Pass and back, Yatris need to decide on hiring ponies and porters at Dharchula itself.	Rs.10,666
8	Hiring of Porter for both ways on Chinese side (subject to revision by Tibetan authorities).	*RMB450 (Rs.4500 approx)
9	Hiring of Pony and Pony Handler for both ways on Chinese side (subject to revision by Tibetan authorities). For the Kailash Parikrama in Tibet, hiring of porters and ponies will need to be decided at Taklakot itself.	RMB13800 (Rs.13,800 approx)
10	Contribution to Pool Money for group activities.	Rs.2,000
11	OTHER EXPENSES including Expenditure on cooks in Tibet, clothing, food stores and other items required for the Yatra. For details, confirmed Yatris may refer to the Information Guide for Yatris. Yatris should carry adequate funds for the Yatra and for unforeseen conditions.	Rs.5,000 approx.

Recommended Approximate Yatra cost via Uttarakhand is Rs.1,50,000

Important Instructions to Pilgrims/Yatris:

• In case of incorrect or false information in the application will be ground for disqualification even after selection. All payments made to KMVN and other charges will be forfeited.
• UNFIT @ Delhi: If a Yatri is disqualified on medical grounds at Delhi, Yatri will forfeit the non-refundable amount Rs.5000 paid to KMVN.
• UNFIT @ Gunji: If a Yatri is disqualified on medical grounds at Gunji, Yatri will forfeit the total fee (Rs.32000) paid to KMVN.
