TTD RathaSapthami Festival Celebrations 2015 in Tirumala Temple. One Day Brahmotsavam(Arsha Brahmotsavam) Schedule

Ratha Saptami, the festival of Sun God is being celebrated every year on  the seventh day in Shukla Paksha of Maagha Masam (January/February). Rathasapthami festival is being celebrated in Tirumala Temple and has great significance during this auspicious day.

In the year 2015, Ratha Saptami Festival falls on January 26, 2015(Monday)

On this holy day, One day Brahmotsavam is performed in Srivari Temple, Tirumala. One day Brahmotsavam is called "Arsha Brahmotsavam. There are other brahmotsavams known as "Deva Brahmotsavam" on Vaikunta Ekadasi, "Manava Brahmotsavam in Aswayuja/Bhadrapada Masa and "Raksha Brahmotsavam" on Kaisika Dwadasi"
During this auspicious occasion the temple processional deities Sri Malayappa Swamy and His consorts Goddess Sridevi and Bhudevi will be taken out on Seven Vahanams along four temple streets in a dawn to dusk celebrations. On Rathasapthami day, One day Brahmotsavam begins with Suryaprabha Vahanam followed by ChinnaSesha Vahanam, Garuda Vahanam, Hanumantha Vahanam, Kalpavruksha Vahanam, Sarvabhupala Vahanam and Chandraprabha Vahanam. Chakrasnanam will be celebrated in the afternoon.

It is a rare glimpse view to the devotees in Tirumala Temple.
