Shri Venkataramana Temple, the abode of Lord Sri Venkataramana at Mulki is one of the sacred shrines on the coastal area in South Kanara in Karnataka State. The other main deities of the temple are Lord Vittala, Lord Ugra Narasimha and Lord Bindu Madhava.

History of the Temple:
Though the temple is known famously as Sri Venkataramana Temple now, the deity which was first installed and worshipped in the temple was that of Lord Vittala and the temple was originally known as Manampadi Vittala Devaru Gudi and is believed to have been established in the year 1277AD. The place was also known as Vola Lanka meaning Inner Lanka.
Sri Vijayendra Theertha Samiji of Kashi Mutt Samsthan was installed the idol of Lord Ugra Narasimha at the Mulki Venkataramana Temple. The Prathishta(installation) ceremony of Lord Ugra Narasimha was held on the day of Pournami(Full Moon Day) in the month of Margasheersha. This event is celebrated in every year with great pomp and gaiety

The important Festival in the temple is Prathishtha day which is celebrated on Pournami day in the month of Margashira (November/December). During the event Abhishekam is performed and also Kanakabhishekam will be performed.

Nitya Annadanam & Social Activities by Devasthanam:
- Every day Food is served to the devotees in the temple after pooja rituals.
- A Veda Sanskrit Patashala(Vedic School) is running by the "Sri Venkataramana Devasthanam" which imparts a 4year course in Sanskrit, Vedas, Jyothisham and Bhatpan(for euipping themselves as priests) Students who have passes VIII standard are eligible to admit into the course and the education is free with hostel facility. In addition, Shri Vyasa Maharshi Vidyapeetha(school from Kindergarden to SSLC) is also maintained by Sri Venkataramana Temple.

Mulki is a small town situated on the south of Mangalore 28km away on route to Uduppi, Kundappur and Kollur
Sri Venkataramana Temple is situated at about 3km, east of the Mulki Busstand and can be accessed either by foot or by auto.
