Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) is going to conduct the Annual Surya Pooja Mahotsavam and Teppotsavam festivals of the Sri Vedanarayanaswami and his consort Goddess Vedavalli at Nagalapuram from March 24, 2014(Monday) to March 28, 2014(Friday).

Surya Pooja Festival in Sri VedaNarayana Swamy Temple, Nagalapuram:
The Annual Surya Puja festival will mark the ocassion of the direct sun rays falling on the idol of Mula Virat(Main Deity) in the temple, 360 feet away from the Rajagopuram. During these five days, Snapana Thirumanjanam(Celestial Bathing) is performed every day to the Utsava idols of Sri Vedanarayana and Vedavalli in the morning.
All devotees are provided the darshan of Surya Pooja from 5.30pm to 6.30 pm every day during the festival and Tiruvidhi Utsavam from 6.30 PM to 8 PM.
Teppa Utsavam(Float Festival) in Nagalapuram Temple:
Teppotsavam will be conducted every day from 6.30 PM to 7.30 PM from March 26, 2014(Wednesday) to March 28, 2014(Friday) for 3 days.The holy divinity will give darshan to all devotees and bless them in the Tiruvidhi Utsavam processions.
Day1(March 26, 2014): The Lord gives darshan in the form of Sri Kodandaramaswami along with consort Goddess Sita Devi.
Day2 (March 27, 2014): The Lord gives darshan on Muthyapupandiri Vahanam,
Day3 (March 28, 2014): The Lord gives darshan to devotees on Shesha Vahanam in the Tiruvidhi Utsavam processions.
Special devotional and Bhakti cultural and Bhajan programs will be held at the venue every day under the auspices of the TTD Annamacharya Project.

Every year in the month of march, the Sun rays pass through the Gopuram entrance for three days and fall on the main deity of the temple.
This great miracle happens on the days of Shukla Dwadasi, Tryodasi and Chaturdasi in the month of Phalguna(Telugu month).

- Day 1: Shukla Paksha Dwadasi 12th day of Phalguna Month - The Sun rays touch the Lord's Feet.
- Day 2: Shukla Paksha Dwadasi 13th day of Phalguna Month - The Sun rays fall on Lord's Chest(Navel).
- Day 3: Shukla Paksha Dwadasi 14th day of Phalguna Month - The Sun rays touch the Lord's Fore Head(Crowned Head).
