TTD Sri KodandaRama Swamy Temple Address, Timings and Contact Telephone Number, Tirupati

Sri KodandaRama Swamy Temple, is the abode of Sri KodandaRama Swamy and his consort Goddess Seetha Devi. The other deities of the Temple are Sri Lakshmana and Sri Anjaneya Swamy(Lord Hanuman). The Temple is located in the heart of the Tirupati City, Andhrapradesh State. It is about just 500metres away from Tirupati Railway Station.

The temple of Sri Anjaneya Swamy is located opposite to the main shrine in this temple premesis. This temple is under the administrative control of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD), Tirupati.

Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple Timings: 
Morning 5:00am to Evening 9:00pm all the days in a year.On every Saturday there is a break in darshan timings for half an hour on the occassion of Special Alankarana to the lord.

History & Significance of the Temple:
According to the TTD inscriptions, the temple was built and the idol of Sri Rama was consecrated and installed in the saka year 1402(1480-81) by Sri Sathakopasadar Narasimha Mudaliyar for the religious merit of Narasimharaya Udaiyar.

As per the temple legend, this temple commemorates the visit of Lord Sri Rama to Tirupati.

In the Kodandarama temple, the idols of main deities of the temple Lord Rama Goddess Sita and Sri Lakshmana are very big in a standing position. Goddess Sita is to the right of Lord Shri Rama and Sri Lakshmana to his left. Both Lord Rama and Sri Lakshmana each carry a bow and arrow in their left and right hands respectively.

Important Festivals:
The major festivals of the temple are Annual Brahmotsavams (March/April), Ugadi and Sri RamaNavami. These festivals are being celebrated in a grand manner in every year. Sri SitaRama Kalyanam is celebrated on the day next to Sri Ramanavami in a year.

Weekly/Annual Sevas:
  • Weekly: Unjal Seva on Every Saturday
  • Yearly: Sri SitaRama Kalyanam on the day next to Sri Ramanavami in a year.It is a Arjitha(Paid) Seva. Pilgrims can participate in Swamy Kalyanam.
