TTD - Do's and Don'ts in Srivari Temple, Tirumala


Updated on August 8, 2013: Tirumala Temple is the abode Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy. TTD is requested all the pilgrims to follow guidelines in the form of Do's and Don'ts when they are in Tirumala Premesis.
Do's
  • Devotees should enter the temple wearing Hindu Traditional Dress only.
  • Please co-operate to Security Staff while checking belongings.
  • Travelling by Vehicles on Ghat Road should follow the road rules for safe journey.
  • Please inform to the TTD Vigilance Toll Free Number 1800-425-4141 immediately if any dalary demand for or any iinconvenience caused at Ghat Road.
  • If you notice any susceptible persons, things, bags convey the message to the nearest security staff or call Toll Free Number 1800-424-4141.
  • Deposit your offerings in Srivari Hundi only. 
  • Keep Tirumala Premesis Clean, use bio-degradable plastics. 
  • Observe absolute silence and chant "Om Sri Venkatesaya Namaha" mantram inside the temple.
  • Respect ancient customs and usages while at tirumala and promote religious sentiments among co-pilgrims.
  • Please leave your Electronic gadgets like cell phones, calculators, camera and footwear etc at the cottage or deposit near VQC -I before entering into the Srivari temple.  
Don'ts
  • Don't believe Dalaries, Touts or mingle with Strangers and because they may cheat or deceive you.
  • Don't pay any amount to the staff at the time of receiving the Luggage from the Free Luggage Comlex.
  • Don't wear flowers in Tirumala. The flowers are meant for Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy.
  • Drinking Alcohol and containg Ciggarates, Guthkas and other Intoxicated materials are prohibited at Tirumala and it is an illegal act.
  • Footwear is not allowed in Four Mada Streets, Tirumala. Devotees should keep their Footwear in rooms or at Free Footwear Counters.
Banned:
  • Smoking, Non-Vegetarian food, liquor and other intoxicants.
  • Approachment of touts for accommodation and darshan.
  • Spurious prasadams from street vendors.
  • Beggary.
  • Spit or commit nuisance in the premesis of the temple.
  • Preaching and Practice of other religious.
  • Political Meetings, Banners, Rastarokos and Hartals.
  • Slaughter, Killing, maiming any animal/bird for any reason.
  • Gaming with cards, Dice, Counts, Money or other instrument of gaming.
