Tirumala Srivari Annual Vasanthotsavam Festival is being performed to Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy in Tirumala Temple on the days of Trayodasi, Chaturdasi and Pournami in the month of Chaitra Masam (March/April) in every year. According to the Tirumala Temple Legend, the Vasanthotsavam Festival was started during the period of "Achyutaraya" in 1460's. The festival details are as follow...
On all these days Sri Malayappa Swamy and his consorts Goddess Sridevi and Bhudevi are taken round in procession and brought to Vasanta Mandapam inside Tirumala Temple. In Vasanta Mandapam, Abhisekham which means Snapana Thirumanjanam(Holy Bath) is performed to Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy and his consorts
On the third day Sri Rama with Sita, Lakshmana and Anjaneya and SriKrishna with Goddess Rukmini and Satyabhama are also taken out in procession along with Lord Malayappa Swamy and at the end of procession, all Utsava murthies will be brought to vasanta mandapam.
This year 2015, LUNAR ECLIPSE(Chandra Grahanam) falls on April 4, 2015, the third day of "Srivari annual Vasantotsavam". Hence the Snapana Thirumanjanam is performed to the deities between 5:00am and 6:30am instead of observing it in the afternoon. Pilgrims are requested to kindly note these changes. Temple remains close from 9:30am to 8:00pm on Lunar Eclipse day April 4, 2015(Saturday)

In view of srivari annual vasanthotsavam, TTD will cancel Kalyanotsavam, Dolotsavam (Ujal Seva), Arjitha Brahmotsavam, Vasanthotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankarana Sevas. Pilgrims may kindly note the changes.
