Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Temple, Vijayawada is the abode of Goddess Kanaka Durga manifested
herself (Swayambhu/Self Created) on the hillock known as INDRAKEELADRI situated on the left bank of river Krishna in Vijayawada city, Andhrapradesh, India.

This year 2014, the Navaratri(Dusshara) festival will be celebrated from September 25, 2014(Thursday) to October 3, 2014(Friday) in Sri Kanaka Durga Temple, Vijayawada. On the day of Vijaya Dasami(3rd October, 2014), the procession deities are taken in a swan-shaped boat around the Krishna river, popularly known as "Theppotsavam".
During this Dussehra festival Goddess Kanaka Durga is specially decorated(alankarams) as Balatripura Sundari, Gayathri Devi, Sri Mahalakshmi, Sri Annapurna Devi, Sri Lalitha Tripura Sundari, Sri Saraswathi Devi, Sri Durga Devi, Sri Mahishashura Mardini and Sri Raja Rajeswari Devi on each day during the Narvarathri festival.
